Description
From Royal Bayreuth, founded in Bavaria, Germany in 1794, a large water or juice pitcher formed as a bright red lobster, circa 1920s.
Made of hand-painted hard paste porcelain, this is the largest example of the figural lobster pitchers made by Royal Bayreuth.
The detail on this piece is fabulous, very impactful.
A green colored handle meets the lobster, the front claws form the spout, the open work antennae run across the top rim.
Measures: 9.0 in. L x 5.0 in. W x 7.0 in. H
Marked in blue with the stamp used from 1902-1930.
