A “Loto des Paysages” is a traditional French educational picture-lotto board game teaching aspects of the worlds’ landscapes.
The title reads: Loto des Paysages – Un nouveau jeu de société intéressant – Landscape Lotto: An interesting new board game.
Early versions date back to the late 1800s and early 1900s, produced by historic French toy makers like Watilliaux or publishers like Fernand Nathan. The boxes of the early editions featured charming, highly collectible color lithograph box tops and illustrated cardboard game cards designed to teach children natural history.
This game box top is an original printing, showing a landscape with waterways, and various woodland animals, within a printed frame.
The colors are still fresh and bright. Beautiful graphic with typography typical of the era.
Somewhat recently framed and matted in a wood frame.

Very light wear to the print as expected, wear to the paper backing of the frame.
