From France, circa 1890-1910, a petal top, twisted black metal wire standing basket, over 16 inches tall.
Amazing as a table-center, shop display, or on a kitchen countertop used as originally intended throughout Provençal France for holding fresh eggs, vegetables, and fruit.
A charming, rustic, handcrafted footed basket, with a petal shaped upper rim.
Complex wire work.
Sturdier than most.
Measures: 16.5 in. height, the top opening is 11 in. w, the base is 5.75 inches in diameter.
Very good antique condition, lovely patina.
Slightly off-round due to age and use, as expected.
