A French Barbotine Palissy- style earthenware majolica glazed oyster plate attributed to Thomas Sergent, circa 1880.
A star-shaped plate showing six fish heads surrounding a cream center sauce well. Six additional fish heads are seen on the end of each arm of the star. A blue- gray, swirl textured ground bordered in cream.
Pierced for hanging.

Very good antique condition, possible restoration to a line on one tip, if so well done.
