Cobalt Blue Handblown Jazz Era ‘Harpo’ Glasses, 1930s – Set of 6

$360.00

1 in stock

Description

A set of six handblown Louie Glass Cobalt blue tumblers in the ‘Harpo’ pattern, circa 1932.

Gorgeous color! An Art Deco era bulbous footed glass formed of four stacked units with a flared top. These tumblers are beautifully sized for serving fresh juices or a simple whiskey on the rocks. The wide opening at the top allows the nose of the drinker to take in the depth of the spirit’s aroma, heightening the taste.

Founded by Austrian native Louie Wohinche, the Louie Glass Company produced quality, hand-formed, mouth-blown colorless and colored stemware, tumblers, vases, and pitchers. Their products were sold to glass retailers and decorators throughout the 1930s.

A fabulous set for adding bold color with a playful shape from ‘Le Style Jazz Moderne’ era to your table.

4.25 in. H with a top opening of 2. 13 in. (2 – 1/8 in.)

In very good vintage condition with the expected signs of hand blown glass.
