A Bing & Grondahl porcelain teapot in the traditional Musselmalet pattern, Denmark, circa 1950-1960.
The Cobalt blue on white porcelain pattern is synonymous with both the Bing & Grondahl and The Royal Copenhagen porcelain manufacturers, and is based on a pattern originally produced by Meissen.
Hand painted on a fluted ground, with a blue snail-shaped finial.
This is Teapot mold number 238, holding four cups of brewed tea.
10 inches from handle to spout x 5 in. W x 6.5 in. H, including the finial.
Showing the mark used by B&G from 1950-1960, and stamped Made in Denmark.
In very good vintage condition.
