A service for twelve, Butterscotch Celluloid handled, Sterling ferruled, dessert flatware in the original box. England, circa late 19th C.- early 20th C.
A twenty-four piece set, twelve each, forks and knives, with Sterling silver collars and EPSP silver plated blades and tines, in the original fabric lined wooden box.
The blades of the knives show an intricate floral engraving and are marked with English hallmarks and EPSP. The forks show a form following geometric engraving. The heavy silver plate utensils are joined to the handles with Sterling hallmarked ferrules.
Knives: 8 in L x .50 in W x .25″H
Forks: 6.5 in L x .50 in W x .25″H
Box: 9.5 in L x 12 in W x 2″H – missing the key
The utensils are in excellent condition, no age lines. Collars fit tightly into the handles, no wobbling.
A brass plate for engraving is on the lid of the box, a brass keyhole – the key is missing. Wear to the interior.
