A pair of French Art Nouveau period bentwood hat and coat pegs, circa 1910 – 1920.
The wall mounted Beechwood hooks have turned upper pegs for holding a hat, with a u-shaped peg for a coat, mounted on a beveled round wooden disc.
Most often found in the entry ways of French homes or in the cafes and bistros of Paris, this pair is made with tapered bent arms.
The backplates have metal fixtures for secure attachment to a wall.
Lovely time worn patina.
