Description
From the Atelier Cérenne à Vallauris in France, a rustic hand made pottery wine jug, circa 1940-1950.
The atelier was known for its small, high-end production runs designed by Charles René Neveux.
Glazed in the Provençal Green popular in Southern France, the jug has a full bulbous shape with an applied scored handle, a tall pouring lip, and a footing showing the potters hand.
6.5 in. from handle to spout x 5 in. W x 10 in. H
In very good condition, nice and clean. A glaze slip on the base showing the clay beneath, in the making.
