A French Limoges hand painted porcelain box, a Rooster, circa 1980s.
A charming rooster, the symbol of France since ancient times, brightly painted in the round, and sitting on a brown ground.
The box is braced in a gold tone metal with a clasp formed as a bow.
Opens to show a painted ‘feather’ on the interior of the base.
