A French majolica glazed hand painted wall plaque, signed by the artist, circa 1890-1900.
In the trompe l’oeil style of fool the eye, a dimensional mold showing a branching cherry limb full of fruit. Signed by the artist, F. Perrot, glazed in beautiful deep earthy olive green with lighter green leaves and pale pink cherries. A lovely Craqueleur surface enhances the design.
Pierced on the foot rim for hanging. A large, impactful and unusual piece.

The expected light age wear to the surface with a teeny glaze slip to the rim. A firing line seen to the verso, a kiln effect in the making, not seen on the front.
