From Halcyon Days, a Bilston enamel trinket box shaped as a rabbit, Stoke-on-Trent, England, circa 1970-1980s.
Established in the 1950s, Halcyon Days Ltd is a British business which holds all three Royal Warrants to the British Royal Household as Suppliers of objets d’art – one of only 14 businesses to hold all three.
The lid of this box is shaped and hand enameled as a rabbit lying in green grass and yellow flowers.
The underside of the base is also hand enameled in a scene showing three bunnies surrounded by grass and flowers.
The box is braced in copper and it opens to show a third scene of two rabbits enameled in black and white.
