From the Longchamp Faience factory, founded in Burgundy, France in 1832, Terre de Fer plates in the Indienne pattern, circa 1890-1910.
Inspired by the textiles of India, the Indienne pattern is a Cobalt blue transfer printed floral on a cream colored ironstone body. The eight sided dinner sized plates have a good weight to them with thicker rims than often found in faience.
Measures: 10.5 in. Diameter x .75 in. H
Marked: Printed mark showing Longchamp and the pattern name on a folded bolt of fabric. Impressed Terre de Fer.
Sold as a set of ten.
The expected light crazing and wear – All plates are in very good condition.
