A French barbotine majolica Asparagus and Artichoke platter, Lunéville K & G (Keller et Guerin) – late 19th Century. Luneville Faience is one of the most famous French pottery manufacturers. It has been located in Lunéville, Lorraine, France since 1730.
The dimensional piece shows aspects of both plants including asparagus spears and the globe artichoke heads, all on a ground of overlapping leaves. A bright turquoise verso marked with an impressed Luneville.
