A late 19th Century French large majolica glazed pottery vase formed as Parrot Tulips. Three pink cascading petals make up the handles on a cream colored body with hand painted foliage and tulip buds encircling the base.

Catalogued as shape No. 1026, signed Delphin Massier, Vallauris A.M.
Delphin, b.1836, was one of three brothers from the Massier family, a dynasty of potters dating back to before the French Revolution. The family played a key role in the revival of pottery in Vallauris, southern France. Delphin worked in the family business of Jérôme Massier et Cie in Vallauris Circa 1860-1880.
