Description
An enamelware dutch oven manufactured by the Italian company, Siltal, circa 1960s to the early 1970s. Designed for the food writer and chef Robert Carrier – Beautiful Italian Mid-Century design.
Decorated with Egyptian Revival imagery of figures, animals, and hieroglyphics in black against a vibrant Periwinkle blue enamel on steel. The dutch oven and lid have stainless steel handles and a clean white enameled interior. This is high quality, heavy weight cookware that goes from oven or stove-top to table.
Marked: Italy, Siltal, Depositata 12-4
13 in. W x 6 in. H. including the handles. The pot is 9 in. in diameter.
