From Minton, a majolica glazed open salt with a Mythology theme in the Renaissance Revival style, circa 1864.
A fluted shell form bowl with an out turned rim, glazed in turquoise with a pink interior, is supported by two intertwined dolphins. The waisted base is glazed in mauve with a green acanthus leaf and yellow ochre dot decoration. An ocher trim is also used on the two lower rims.
