A Minton earthenware, majolica glazed Oak Leaf pitcher, formed with a rustic brown tree trunk body embellished with oak leaves and acorns. The branch handle has a snail thumb set. The jug is rimmed with a yellow ochre band and has a blue-green interior.
Thomas Minton and Sons, founded in 1793, was a major pottery manufacturing factory on London Road in Stoke-upon-Trent, Staffordshire, England.
