Description
A set of three hand made sterling silver pill cases or trinket boxes, Navajo, Native American – circa 1930s.
The boxes are decorated with tribal stamp work.
- Box with a convex lid, stamp work to the top and sides. 1.75 in. L x 1.13 in. W x .25 in. H
- Flat box, stamp work to lid. 1.75 in. L x 1.13 in W x .25 in. H
- Flat box, applied silver arrow head and stamp work with a beveled set turquoise stone. 1.25 in.L x 1 in. W x .25 in. H
The Navajo silversmiths attach the lids to the base of the box with hand made silver hinges on the back, and a recessed divot on the front to hold the lid shut.
All three boxes shut tightly.
In beautiful condition – showing unpolished patina.
