A Majolica glazed French faïence barbotine artichoke and asparagus plate, Orchies, circa 1880. In the Art Nouveau style, showing the stylized leaves of both plants, an artichoke globe and deep purple tipped asparagus on a light turquoise ground. Great for serving any sort of Antipasti! The plate has a scalloped rim and a deep well for a dipping sauce. Heavy weight with footed versos.
