Description
An Art Deco period Sterling silver Plunger pickle fork, marked by Paye & Baker Manufacturing Co., North Attleboro, Massachusetts, operating from 1901 – 1920.
The mechanical pickle fork has four tines, the outer two are barbed. The plunger is depressed from the end using a thumb, pushing the pickles from the fork with a moveable tine sweep. There is a finger rest on the shaft for leverage.
