Description
A marvelous estate find, a heavy, hand-made, silver pastry server, circa early 20th century.
The server is a large and impressive piece with a purity of 875. 875 is roughly equivalent to 21-karat purity and is historically tied to the traditional Russian “84 zolotnik” standard.
An ornate chased and engraved floral pattern to the long handle, the flat serving section has a lovely organic shape with a raised right handed edge.
