Description
A French faïence transfer printed creamware “assiette parlante” or talking plate, produced by P&H Choisy, Seine, France – circa 1824-1836.
A black transfer of a boudoir scene; a woman in period dress, standing in her bedroom. Geometric tiled flooring, columns and distant treetops make up an especially charming image. A complex, wide floral border follows the rim. The title, “La Femme de Chambre” is printed on the plate.

Very good antique condition with the expected minor wear.
