A set of eight transfer printed plates, the Cologne pattern, Ralph Stevenson & Son, Coleridge, Staffordshire England, circa 1810-1835.
A soft pink on white, the scalloped rimmed plates show a romantic landscape with a central image of a castle on a river, and trees framing the view. Mountains are seen in the distance.
A diamond patterned geometric inner border with a wide outer border of alternating cartouches showing florals and geometrics.
Underglaze tissue printed on an earthenware body. A wider rim with a deeper center.
