Description
A Ridgways Royal Semi Porcelain lidded Porridge tureen, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England, showing the mark used circa 1891.
Beautifully shaped with hand applied side and top handles, the lid has a ladle cut-out. Raised scrolled mold work seen throughout.
The best part is the transfer printed black writing ” Porridge” on both the base and the lid, telling the diner what’s inside.
A rarer piece of English pottery in a clean white semi-porcelain.
11 in. from side handle to handle x 9.5 in. W x 5.5 in. H with the lid seated.

The expected light surface wear, nothing to detract, Minor darkening to the base interior.
