From Royal Worcester, a majolica glazed pedestal Palissy vase in the Renaissance Revival style, circa 1860-1865.
A dimensional Nautilus shell with an open form is beautifully glazed in yellow with brown detailing. The shell is supported on a pedestal base of cobalt blue coral rising from a watery round base with applied, brown glazed shells. The brown waisted footing shows a running border of scallop shells and sea plants.
Impressed: A Royal Worcester Crown crest.
6.5 in. at the widest point, on a base 5 in. Diam. x 8.5 in. H
