Description
A French Faïence hand-glazed shell shaped asparagus plate, showing a group of asparagus spears spread across the front, the shaped rims are hand-lined in burgundy and pale green. The bottom section is a deeper sauce well.

Showing the makers mark used between 1875 and 1900, ‘SARREGUEMINES’ in cursive script with a ‘U & C’ overlay, on the verso.
Expect light flea-biting to the rims, and craquelure to the lighter glazed areas, as is the custom of old faïence. Pictured are possible minor signs of age wear. All plates are considered to be in very good antique condition.
