A set of eight Ironstone polychrome transfer printed divided chop or grill plates.
The pattern is ‘Bosphorus,’ inspired by a region near Istanbul, Turkey.
Attributed to J.Marshall & Co., Bo’ness, Scotland, circa 1860.
A romantic landscape printed in cobalt blue with a floral border and a yellow banding to the rolled rim.
The three sectioned plates are heavy, 11.25 in. Diameter. x 1 in. Deep.
Marked on the verso with the pattern name in a cartouche.
In very good condition. The expecte fine crazing, some light staining to the rims.
