A set of four Wedgwood majolica plates in the Ocean pattern, sometimes referred to as Shell and Seaweed, circa 1870 – 1880.
The plates feature a large central scallop shaped shell edges in yellow with a border rim of dimensional white-capped ocean waves and sea plants. A branch of seaweed is draped across the center. Brightly glazed, marked on the verso with an impressed Wedgwood.
