From France, circa 1890-1910, a triple-tiered, twisted black metal wire standing basket, over 21 inches tall.
Amazing as a table-center, shop display, or on a kitchen countertop used as originally intended throughout Provençal France for holding fresh eggs, vegetables, and fruit.
A charming, rustic, handcrafted footed basket, with three tiers graduated in size.
Each tier is a made of concentric wire work with a petal form looped rim.
Complex wire work.
Sturdy, no wobbling.
Measures: 21.5 in. height, x 12.5 inches at the widest point.
Top basket: 4 in. H x 5.5 in. diameter.
Middle basket: 5 in. H x 10 in. diameter.
Bottom basket: 5 in. H. x 12.5 in. diameter.
Very good antique condition, lovely patina. Very sturdy, no wobbling.
Slightly off-round due to age and use, as expected.
