Delft / Imari

English delftware is tin-glazed pottery made in the British Isles from circa 1550 to the late 18th century. Dutch Delftware is blue and white tin-glazed earthenware decorated with metal oxides, made in Delft in the Netherlands from the 16th century on. Imari porcelain was made in Japan beginning in the 17th century, and copied by porcelain factories in England, and Continental Europe, in the 18th and 19th centuries. Chinese export porcelain was made for export to Europe and later to North America between the 16th and the 20th century.
