Description
An 18th-Century Dutch Delft, tin-glazed earthenware deep charger, inspired by Chinese export porcelain and hand painted in a heavy cobalt blue geometric and floral pattern. A stylized border of a daisy like flower alternating with a geometric pattern is edged with a white rim. Rear footing is pierced for hanging, a glazed verso with a pattern of loose circles on the wide rear rim.
Maker unknown, circa 1750 – 1780.
13.5″ Diam. x 1.75″ H. Very good antique condition, the expected fritting and light nipping to the rim.
