A six-well multi-colored majolica oyster plate by S. Fielding & Co. Ltd., Stoke-on-Trent, England, circa 1878. The boldly glazed oyster wells surround a center condiment well, all on a bed of seaweed glazed in sea green and a light turquoise. A yellow nautical rope borders the central well and the outer rim. The verso shows a tortoise shell glaze with six raised scallop shell shaped feet.
