Description
A late 19th Century, French porcelain, crescent or half-moon shaped oyster plate, five pink blush oyster wells with hand-painted eyes on a salmon colored ground with a gilded fish net. Shown behind the main wells are the brown and gray glazed backs of three oyster shells. Also shown are two smaller pink and white clam or cockle shells. A rolled and scalloped rim with fluted edging.
Marked with an impressed mold number.
