A 19th Century majolica glazed serving tray, Josiah Wedgwood, Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, England.

A grape leaf on wicker pattern with two end handles formed as grape vines. With a cobalt blue center and turquoise background, this tray has beautiful color. The shaped rim and detailed grape leaves show the quality we expect of Wedgwood majolica. The verso shows the mottled tortoiseshell glazing.

Impressed Wedgwood, HRI, the I being the date code for the year 1880, and the red iron oxide number of the glazer.

11.75″L x 8.5″W x 2″H

Excellent antique condition, light wear to the rim.
