Description
A French Faïence majolica glazed asparagus plate from the Orchies Faïencerie in Saint-Armand-Les-Eaux, Northern France, circa 1890-1900.
Cream colored asparagus with purple tips lay across a deeper area glazed in yellow ochre. The border shows a turquoise rim of scrolls and shells. A rarer example.
