From Royal Worcester, a majolica glazed pedestal Palissy vide-poche in the Renaissance Revival style, circa 1880.
A dimensional upturned, open shell form bowl is beautifully glazed in cream with pale brown detailing and a bright turquoise interior. The shell shows a delicate serrate rim and is supported on a pedestal base of three entwined dolphins on a triangular base. The bowl sits on the tails of the dolphins, which are glazed in a golden yellow with green heads. The brown triangular footing shows a running border of sea plant leaves in cream on a pale turquoise ground.
Impressed: A Royal Worcester Crown crest.

Very good antique conditions, minor flea biting to the rim, appearing enhanced in the close-up photos.
