In the Aesthetic taste, a Wedgwood majolica plate, a center well showing a lobster on bed of yellow and green seaweed against a Cobalt blue ground. The outer rim is dotted with raised root vegetables, radishes, carrots and leeks, along with their greens. A yellow ochre trim on the inner and outer rims. Considered rare.
England, late 19th Century, marked with the impressed, Wedgwood, and a red iron oxide painters mark – 2916 6H.
