Staffordshire

Staffordshire refers to the wares created in the English Midlands, beginning from the 1700s, in a cluster of six towns called Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire, England. Several of these potters or makers became household names. Among them are Adams, Bilston Battersea, Doulton, Minton, Royal Worcester, Spode and Wedgwood. See the Staffordshire and Transferware links under the Reference section for more information.
