St. Armand Asparagus & Artichoke Plate – SOLD

A French porcelaneous plate showing aspects of both the asparagus and artichoke plants, circa 1890-1910. The plate is rimmed in a bittersweet red, asparagus spears lay across the plate glazed with dark lavender tips. A deep sauce well is formed of the globe shaped artichoke head surrounded by a swirl of  stylized leaves.

Impressed Terre de Feu ‘R’ and stamped: St. Armand & Hamage Nord with the Windmill mark.
